This picture stood out to me from the start mainly due to the brightness of the sky. However, I felt that the blue of the sky took away from the detail of the castle.
From the start I knew that I wanted to try out Silver Efex Pro 2 on this picture because I felt that it would bring more detail to the castle. These are the steps that I took to achieve the final results:
1- Open the image in Camera Raw
2- Choose Len Correction (6th icon from the left)
3- Clicked "Open Image"
4- Went to Filter>Nik Software>Silver Efex Pro 2
5- From the presets I chose "High Structure (smooth)
6- From there, I played around with the Brightness, Contrast, Structure, Shadows and Highlights settings
Over all I was really happy with the end results because I felt like the castle had more detail and was the focal point of the picture.
